Event-driven architecture

Your systems respond instantly to every order, scan, or status change, instead of waiting for the next batch. We design and build your event-driven architecture on the Solace platform.

Time for event-driven architecture when

Data is only available hours later because integrations run in batches.
Every new application requires a new series of point-to-point connections.
Volume spikes cause your integrations to crash.

How we build your EDA with Solace

Solace event broker
Solace distributes events reliably and at scale, in the cloud, on-premises, or both.
Event mesh
We connect brokers across locations and clouds, ensuring events are available everywhere.
Open standards
Solace supports protocols including MQTT, AMQP, JMS, and REST, and works in tandem with Kafka.
Together with Boomi
Use the Solace connector for Boomi to combine event-driven integration with your existing iPaaS connections.

Cases

Smart order processing for a growing beauty brand
Faster parcel processing for international e-commerce

How we work

1
Introduction
An EDA specialist will discuss which processes require real-time data and where the greatest gains can be made.
2
Architecture
We design the event flows and start with one concrete process.
3
Scaling up
Every subsequent system connects to the same events, without the need for new integrations.

Frequently asked questions about event driven architecture

Working event driven often raises questions, for example about how it differs from API integrations or whether to choose Solace or Kafka. You'll find the answers below. Have a specific question? An EDA specialist is happy to discuss it with you.

What is the difference between EDA and API connections?

With an API, one system actively requests information from another. With EDA, a system reports an event, and everyone who needs that information receives it automatically.

What is Solace PubSub+?

Solace PubSub+ is Solace's event platform. It consists of event brokers, an event mesh, and tools for designing and managing events.

Solace or Kafka?

Both process events. Solace excels in routing, multi-protocol support, and hybrid environments. We help you choose, and Solace can also work alongside an existing Kafka environment.

Do I need to rebuild my entire landscape?

No. You start with one process where real-time data provides the most value and expand step by step.
