From data to intelligence: the practical benefits of AI

By applying AI purposefully to the validation of delivery photos (Proof of Delivery), processing time per photo dropped from 3.5 to 0.8 seconds. The obvious approach—feeding every full-resolution photo into a model—was too slow. By first detecting the location of packages and doors at a low resolution and then only examining those specific regions in detail, the model becomes significantly faster. More events, processed faster. That is what AI delivers in practice. The gain doesn't come from a heavier model, but from purposeful design: we extract knowledge from the data and let that guide the model's decisions.

AI amplifies what is already there

Most value from AI doesn't come from deploying a new model, but from smartly combining existing data with the right context. Only when data is reliable and processes are clear can AI generate meaningful output from it.

Without reliable data, context, and clear objectives, AI remains little more than an experiment. With the right foundation, it becomes an accelerator of business value.

When applied correctly, AI helps organizations gain faster and better insights into their data, improve the quality of analyses, streamline processes, and create more room for predictive and proactive action.

Design for chaos

AI environments are unpredictable by definition: models change, data drifts, and processes evolve. Systems not designed for this fail at the worst possible moment. Design for chaos means building on the assumption that things will go wrong, so the system adapts instead of crashing. This requires flexible architectures, continuous monitoring, and the space to keep developing models.

Three pillars determine if it works

A clear use case, reliable and usable data, and a pragmatic approach that aligns with business reality. With that foundation, the role of AI shifts from isolated innovation to a structural part of modern Data Intelligence. And that is exactly where sustainable value is created.
